A wide range of different lasers are used in modern dentistry. The Erbium:YAG laser has a potential of replacing the drill in selected situation; the carbon dioxide laser is a valuable tool in oral surgery; the Argon laser is used in minor surgery and composite curing; the Nd:YAG is used in pocket debridment, tissue retraction and more. This is just to mention a few of the possibilities of the dental laser.
